Rhubarb Rose Smoothie
This Vata-Balancing smoothie holds sweet, sour, and pungent tastes. It’s a good one for Vata doshas during the summer. You can pair it with a meal, have it in the morning, or as a refreshing afternoon pick-me-up. It’s also a nice one for Pitta dosha, since the herbal rose component cools the body.
ingredients
1 frozen banana, chopped
1/2 cup frozen rhubarb, chopped
2 tbsp hemp seeds
2 tbsp rose water (or 1 tsp rose powder)
6 oz unflavored plant-based yogurt
1-2 cups coconut milk
instructions
Place all ingredients in a high-power blender
Blend for 1 minute
Check consistency (more milk will make the smoothie more liquid-like, less will keep it thick)
Serves 1-2
